Overview

This position requires a blend of skills and experience that are specifically focused on the management of finished goods shipping inventory including code dates, rotation accuracy, Ross Software accuracy as well as shipping location and storage.  This position will be integral to the support of the Shipping and Production Scheduling team by providing accurate details of on-hand inventory, inventory movement, inventory arriving from other plants into the Shipping Department and the movement throughout the plant. The successful candidate will possess a proven track record of successful inventory control management in a fast-pace and growing environment.

Experience is mandatory for this position and only those candidates who present their history of success will be considered.

Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED, required.
    • Minimum one (1) year inventory management experience, required.
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills (focus on Excel), required.
    • Refrigerated warehouse and production/manufacturing experience, preferred.

    • Capable of working the entire MS Outlook and Excel. Ross experience is a plus.
    • Ability to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately record data.
    • Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts, as required.
    • Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills required.
    • Must be able to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Running a series of inventory reports on daily, weekly, or monthly basis and performs detailed analysis of item performance.
  • Daily reconciliation of previous day’s production against Ross Software and physical count. Make necessary adjustments to correct variance before previous day batch closes.
  • Develop accurate, consistent, and enhancements to the inventory reporting structure. (i.e. daily report of current inventory and inventory variances).
  • Perform inventory adjustments within the Ross Software and inventory management system.
  • Perform visual validation of inventory by day, date and location as needed to maintain accurate inventory counts.
  • Perform daily/weekly/monthly cycle counts and reconciliation.
  • Perform weekly and monthly full physical inventory reconciliation by day and date.
  • Report, maintain and update the daily inventory tracker (if applicable) and current inventory positions at daily OEE and shift meetings.
  • Work in conjunction with the Shipping and Production teams and maintain flexible attitude supporting all stated objectives for new orders and verification of inventory to confirm customer orders.
  • Maintenance and accountability of accurate inventory levels at all times.
  • Perform in a manner consistent with company Vision, Mission Statement and Operating Principles
  • Must be available to work holidays and weekends. Must be able to work overtime as the business requires.
