Position Summary:
The Blow Mold Maintenance Specialist maintains, troubleshoots, repairs Blow Mold equipment. Inspects equipment for proper functioning and performs preventative maintenance duties per manufacturer's specifications.
Education/Experience:
· High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
· One year certificate from college or technical school; or THREE years related experience and/or training in manufacturing equipment maintenance and repair; or equivalent combination of continued education and experience.
Experience: (Preferred not required)
Experience with:
· PLC (e.g., industrial maintenance, computer control systems, etc.).
· basic electrical systems (e.g., starters, fuses, contacts, relays).
· conveyors (air cylinders, diverters, sensors, motor/speed controls).
· electrical systems (installation, frequency drive, troubleshooting)
· electronics (e.g., level probes, flow meters, drives/VFDs, etc.).
· gearing and gear boxes (rebuilds, ordering parts, machining parts).
· hydraulic systems (high pressure cylinders, pumps, valves, troubleshooting).
· kinematics (e.g., line speed/sprocket size ratios, etc.).
· packaging/high speed production (e.g., bottling, consumer products, etc.).
· pneumatics (solenoids, cylinders, motor brakes, reading, troubleshooting).
· pneumatics/air compression (e.g., valves, cylinders, etc.).
· preventative maintenance (computerized preventative charts/data).
· pumps (e.g., troubleshooting, replacing seals/motors, understanding specs).
· Review rating instructions.
Other Functions:
· Ability to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately record data required.
· Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts, as required.
· Must be able to frequently stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, pull, and bend with full range of body motion.
· Must be able to frequently lift and/or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
· Must be able to work independently and/or on a team in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong analytical skills and a systematic approach to troubleshooting and problem solving is required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
· PLC, HVAC, Ammonia, Refrigeration, or other specialty certifications preferred, but not required
Working Conditions:
· Must be able to work in hot and cold climates, both indoors and outdoors.
Language Skills:
· English is the primary language skill; however, bilingual skills may be beneficial based on business necessity.

Role Responsibilities:
· Responsible for the blow mold mechanical operations
· Work with Maintenance Manager to develop spare parts critical list, organize and cleanup spare parts areas, organize tools, and develop management of tools.
· Responsible to organize, identify, procure, and manage documentation and resources.
· Collaborate with Maintenance Manager to develop a PM program for internal and external resources. Will champion PM and upkeep of machine.
· Perform complete preventative maintenance inspection and service on all blow mold equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company guidelines.
· Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain blow mold equipment to the desired company performance standards.
· Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assisting in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
· Comply with all company work and safety rules and regulatory compliance rules and regulations.
· Use all personal protective equipment in compliance with OSHA regulations.
· Own the necessary tools to perform job duties.
Specifics
· Technical expert on blow mold operations including Blow mold machine, cooling bed, trimmer, conveyors, regrind and resin feed system, annealing tunnel, and controls.
· First line technician for troubleshooting and repairs.
· Provide 24-hour coverage as needed including call-in, weekends and off shift hours as needed,
· Ability to train operators on correct operations of the machine
· Ability to run machine to ensure proper operations
· Provide accurate equipment and parts inventory to Maintenance Manager
· Execute PM program assessment for the blow mold operations
· Must be able to train Maintenance Technicians on blow mold operations and repairs
